Positive Living Staff
Dr. Marc Shulman, a clinical psychologist and coach, is the founder of Positive Living. He is uniquely qualified to lead this program, due to his ability to translate his knowledge and expertise in the underlying dynamics of positive emotions into a vibrant program that can enrich peoples lives. Dr. Shulman combines an energetic and lively interpersonal demeanor with a sensitive and thoughtful approach, which enables him to successfully communicate his ideas to people from all walks of life. He believes firmly in the human potential to overcome obstacles and to make a significant and positive impact on the world.
Dr. Shulman works with people of all ages and backgrounds who experience difficulty achieving their fullest in their relationships, jobs and daily lives. Through an innovative blending of creativity and passion, Dr. Shulman assists others with overcoming the blocks that prevent optimal performance, so that they can actualize their strengths and realize their true potential.
In addition to leading the Positive Living program, Dr. Shulman is an Associate Research Scientist at Yale University and concurrently serves as a core faculty member in a nationally recognized health psychology internship and postdoctoral program at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. Dr. Shulman provides supervision to students from many of the top programs from across the country, lectures and writes on a wide array of topics, and has developed treatment manuals that are being applied in clinical research at major educational institutions and teaching hospitals. He has helped to launch businesses to provide greater access to therapeutic services to people in need across the nation and a program that developed activities to foster human creativity. Dr. Shulman is an active member of the American Psychological Association and licensed to practice in New York and Connecticut.
